Rules
FantaFOne rules
FantaFOne is a free strategy game where you manage a Team of drivers in a motorsport category and compete for the Prizes on offer. Learn how to create your Team, earn fantapoints and dominate the leagues.
1. Categories, Teams and Fantacrediti
To start, pick a motorsport category and create a Team with an initial Fantacrediti budget. Managing that budget and choosing drivers is key to maximising points over the championship.
- Choosing a category: Pick one of the available categories and join its championship.
- Creating a Team: Use your Fantacrediti budget to buy a set number of drivers (e.g. 5 to 8).
- Fantacrediti and prices: Drivers have an initial price based on past results. Spend the budget strategically.
- Driver market: Until your first lineup closes you can still change your roster, within budget. After that, during the championship you can change drivers in market windows (not all at once), respecting remaining credits and buy/sell limits (min/max sales and purchases per session).
2. Fantapoints and performance
Your Team score depends on drivers' fantapoints, based on their race results. The scoring grid and the driver coefficient are crucial to the calculation.
- Fantapoints: How a driver is scored across sessions such as qualifying and the race.
- Scoring grid: Awards points for finishing positions and specific events (e.g. beating your teammate).
- Driver coefficient: A value that levels performance against the previous championship. Rookies start at the maximum coefficient.
- Updates: A driver's coefficient and price can change during the championship based on results.
3. Fielding drivers (Lineup)
Managing the lineup is a strategic choice. Decide which drivers to field before every race weekend and, if available, use the X2 multiplier to maximise points.
- When to field: Set your drivers from the end of a race weekend until before the next valid session.
- Lineup: Only fielded drivers contribute to the Team score for that weekend.
- X2 multiplier: Doubles one driver's contribution for a weekend, i.e. their points after any "teammate beaten" penalty.
4. Leagues and standings
Leagues add a social, competitive layer. Challenge friends or other users in public or private leagues and climb the tables.
- League types: Join public leagues (open to everyone) or private ones (password protected).
- Standings: Each league has a table separate from the overall standings. If fantapoints are tied, the earlier lineup wins: for a race the timestamp of that lineup is used; for the season, the first lineup of the season. A hotlap edit does not change that time.
- Competition: Challenge friends or random users to win leagues and prove your strategy.
5. Winning strategies
Success in FantaFOne depends on strategic decisions, budget management and fielding the right drivers at the right time. Master these rules to become the best manager!
- Manage your budget carefully when buying drivers.
- Study driver results and coefficients to build the best lineup.
- Use the X2 multiplier on the driver you expect to score best, to maximise points.
- Want more? A Premium subscription gives you exclusive faces, standings up to the Top 100, points breakdown, more teams and leagues and one extra market move (see Why Premium).
- Earn XP by playing to level up and unlock tickets (Hotlap Pass, Race Insight Pass, League Scout Pass, Market Joker, Premium Weekend Pass, No Ads Pass, season badge): limited use (one-shot or timed), use them from the ticket board even without Premium. With Premium or a Hotlap Pass ticket you can edit the lineup until the first session starts. The Market Joker ticket raises by 1 the max drivers you can buy and sell in a market session (see FAQ).
- Team/league creation XP: once per category per season; deleting and recreating in the same category does not grant more XP. Joining more leagues can award XP per join. Details in the FAQ — How you earn XP.
Attributes
| Attribute | Value |

Scoring grid
The scoring grid assigns fantapoints to every position drivers reach in a given session. That score is the basis for each driver's contribution to the Team result.
Weekend sessions
Every race weekend is made of several sessions, each with its own weight set by a multiplier. These values balance the importance of qualifying, the race and other sessions.
Driver prices and coefficients
Price and coefficient are core driver attributes: they set both the initial buy cost and how results translate into fantapoints. They can change over the championship based on performance. For details on when and how they are recalculated at market time, see Driver market: price and coefficient updates.
| Driver | Price | Coefficient |

A driver's fantapoints for a weekend are the sum of every session's contribution. For each session: Points = Multiplier × (Grid × Coefficient + Bonus). Grid, multipliers and bonuses depend on the category (see the table above).
Where:
- Grid points: value by finishing position (see the category scoring grid).
- Teammate beaten bonus: 3 fantapoints for beating your teammate in a session (not awarded if you field both teammates).
- Fastest lap bonus: 3 fantapoints for the fastest lap in a session.
- Session multipliers: each session (session) has a weight; see the "Weekend sessions" table.
- Driver coefficient: balances performance; can change during the championship.
Example (selected category): P3 in the first session (16 pts), P1 in the last (25 pts), teammate beaten and fastest lap bonuses (3+3), coefficient 1.2.
= 12.6 + 36.0
= 48.6
During the championship you can buy and sell drivers in market windows. When a window opens, the game automatically updates every driver's coefficient and price from completed race results, so the market reflects real performance and you trade on fresh values. Below: when the update runs and how coefficient and price are calculated.
When recalculation happens
- The current week's race is used (Tuesday through the following Monday).
- That race must be a market race for the category (not every race is).
- There must be at least one previous race with results (so there are points to compute new values from).
- The market race must not be the last of the championship.
- If drivers already have a coefficient and price assigned for that race, recalculation is skipped (no double update).
Data used
For each driver, total fantapoints from every completed race (with results) before the week's market race are summed. Those points set the new coefficient and price from relative ranking. By default a driver's previous value is not used (ranking mode). The server may blend with the previous coefficient via config; if unset, ranking only applies.
How the coefficient is calculated
- Total points are computed for every driver (only races with results before the market race).
- Min and max points among all drivers are found; the range between them normalises points to a 0–1 value (more points → higher value).
- From that normalised value a raw coefficient is obtained: from 2.0 (fewest points) to 1.0 (most points). Formula: coefficient = 2.0 − normalised_value.
- Coefficients are then normalised: one scale factor is applied to all so the sum of every driver's coefficient stays equal to the sum from the previous race. Overall championship "weight" does not change.
- The final value is clamped between 1.0 and 2.0.
In short: whoever has scored more so far gets a lower coefficient (minimum 1.0); whoever has scored less gets a higher one (maximum 2.0).
How price is calculated
A driver's price for the market session is tied to the coefficient by:
- Coefficient 2.0 (fewest points) → Price = 75.
- Coefficient 1.0 (most points) → Price = 150.
Stronger drivers cost more; quieter results cost less, so market choices and budgets stay balanced.
Prizes, listed in the dedicated section, are awarded to category winners.
The winner of a category is the user whose Team scored the most fantapoints in the Overall Standings.
If tied, more trophies are awarded and the voucher value is split equally among the winners.
A single user can win only one prize per category, counting their best Team.
