An example with Formula1 numbers
A driver with a 1.2 coefficient: 3rd in Sprint Qualifying and 1st in Race, with fastest lap and teammate beaten in both.
| Sprint Qualifying | 0.25 × (16 × 1.2 + 6) | 6.3 |
|---|---|---|
| Race | 1 × (25 × 1.2 + 6) | 36 |
| Total | 42.3 | |
Other sessions are not counted here.
Coefficient
Every driver has a coefficient between 1.0 and 2.0 that multiplies grid points. The best performers have the lowest coefficient, so cheaper picks can score big too.
